Background
The music industry broke me and made me in one fell swoop.
At 8 years old I picked up my first guitar and knew that all I wanted was to be a rock star.
In the Alternative Rock scene at the start of the 90’s I touched my dream, lived the ‘rock’ life and prepared for fame and fortune. The major label contract was drawn up, the European tour planned but suddenly another band appeared and just the like that the musical landscape shifted and my band was not a fit.
Yet devastation would lead to inner exploration and an awakening of my fascination with and passion for people...
- What drives us to our greatest successes or blocks us from achieving it?
- What makes us work amazingly together and what drives us apart?
- Why do we make it so hard for ourselves and others and, most importantly...
- How can we make it all work better?
Whilst working in orthopaedics, marketing, graphic design and early web design I funded my education in people, personalities and powerful communication; making it my career in 1995.
I rose to the top of a major personal development company and taught their methods in crowded rooms all around the globe.
I engaged fellow top practitioners and set up a successful clinic in Harley Street.
In 2009 began teaching and sharing my own self-created methodology, which spread to over 18 countries within the first 3 years and which I now teach to other coaches who are ready to become the olympians of our industry.
In 2013 I became a board member of The Evolutionary Business Council.
I have worked with orphans in the South African ghetto of Soweto, with billionaires in The Bahamas and with people across the entire spectrum of society.
What became apparent to me is that, though contexts and situations vary, people are people.
And I know people.
And, of course leaders are people too.
Moreover, when I started getting calls from business owners and leaders in the corporate arena, what became evident was that one of their main challenges is the people stuff.
And that, most definitely, is my specialty.
P.S. Yup, that background pic is me back in the day :)
